There
were two types of wines: Current release and Golden Cellar
wines. Current release wines were from vintage 1998 or later,
Golden Cellar wines were from vintage 1997 or earlier.
In
each type of wine, there were four levels of medals: double
gold, gold, silver and bronze. From the double gold medals,
one white, one red and one blush (pink) wine was selected
as "Best of Show".
