There were two types of entries in the Competition; Current Release and Golden Cellar wines. Current release wines were from vintage 1999 or later and Golden Cellar wines were from vintage 1998 or earlier. For each category of wine, there were four levels of medals; double gold, gold, silver and bronze. From the double gold medals, one white, one red, one blush and one dessert wine were selected as “Best of Show”.
