Is the Wine Competition itself open to the public?
Judging wine requires intense concentration, and to ensure that the judges have the best possible atmosphere in which to select medal winners, the competition itself is closed to the general public. However, the public is invited and encouraged to both taste the winning wines, which are being poured at the Santa Barbara County Fair, and to take some time to come and visit local wineries.
